Oxidized Standard Rings

Hi there, I posted this on the Flag Forum and thought I should ask here as well; does anybody have a suggestion for preventing these RZM rings from continuing to oxidizing? The fabric is silk. Solutions that I found online are a little harsh so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would try cleaning them with wet soft brush, keeping the cloth dry (cleaning one half than another), and apply some amount of renwax.
I am satisfied how it's protecting my zinc KVK which suffered from the same issue, so I believe it would help here, also.

I would give 'Renaissance Metal De-Corroder' a go followed by RenWax as amiklic1 suggested
