I am a full time paper conservation and restoration artist and I have a wonderful site that shows what I can do.

If you ever have any question or concerns regarding you ww1/ww2 paper or if you have some posters that could use a helping hand.

Kindly visit my site http://www.vintagemovieart.ca/ And perhaps keep it book marked.

    best regards to all,

    Restoration

Thanks for stopping by Dario, looks like you have been doing some business with a wide spectrum of genres. All look crafted professionally and creatively. If I'm in need of restoration in the future I now know where to go.

      Hi Peto at point,

      Thank you!

Just to make sure I am not here to just push my ware.

I gladly check in a few times a week and answer any question and concerns anyone might
have about their paper. anything like storage, simple "do it your self" fixes and of course anything about linen backing and restoration.

      Cheers,
      dario.

        Hello and welcome to WAF,

I have several paper award documents I'd like to preserve so will take a look at your site. Thanks.

Might you have any expertise or be able to suggest a reference with regards to preservation or framing of cotton, Rayon or silk flags?

        Regards,
        Stu

          Hi Stu,

I'm not a framer, but I have several pieces framed on my walls.

Some simple guide lines. UV/Sun exposure that translate to fading is very damaging to your collection. Always use UV protective plexi or glass.

All materials touching your artifact, such as backing board or matting should all be archival/ buffered/acid free.

These are some simple steps to take to make sure that your artifacts is protected for the future.

          Best regards,

          dario.

Hello....I have a hand made map made by Werner Frolich, III W.O. aboard U-66. It is paper and in need of restoration...has a few tears and some old tape on it. The map is really cool cause it shows all of the patrols and encounters of U-66. I would like to get it restored/stabilized. Can anyone provide names of some reputable paper restoration specialists?

            Thank you!
