How should I prep before applying ren wax?

What should I do to the medal? Clean it with soap/water that sort of thing?

If you do a search for Ren-Wax, this is one of the threads that will come up. It is worth reading just to read different opinions.

if it is your Ost medal you pictured in the other thread? it sure looked real clean!
Personally a I would gently brush it with a super soft bristle childs toothbrush then wipe it off real well with a soft light cloth and then wax away, while remembering less is more or a light even coat to start off, I use the toothbrush to apply it also.

read the thread Ralph posted for other ideas before getting started.

Best of luck and post photos of both sides when finished.
