    long term storage

    Hello fellow collectors,
    What is the best way for long term storage of metal helmets,I am looking at a minimum of one year and have three helmets I need to put into storage and still come out in the condition I put them in.Any ideas on this would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

    It's best to conduct a WAF web search. There are many different methods to use. It a personal choice as to wether or not to use archival boxes to store your items in. Just a conservator advice you need to keep the humidity in check. Humidity is enemy number 1 can has cause some very bad damage to all types of items. Humidity will distroy leather, paper, metal, wood, cloth, and in some cases cause paint to dull.
    What ever you do do not stack medal helmets together...

      I have them stored in separate boxes with packing and shipping foam,hope this works ok.
