    Cloth badge storage

    Hello,

    I'm starting to have a lot of tabs/boards and differents CDN & UK cloth wings and I wondering what's the best way to store them. I have them individually in a plastic bag in a box now, is there a better way?

    What system you choose to keep your items in is your decision. A couple of things to keep in mind is to make sure that you select and use archival supplies. Archival products are safe for all your items. Archival storage items will not out gas or damage your items. Yes, archival items can cost slightly more than non archival, but if it helps protect your items. Just do not assume that all items your buy are safe.
    Another thought is to keep your items stored in the correct humidity. Humidity thats is too high, or to low can cause a lot of damage to items stored in archival. Be sure that you keep cloth items away from sunlight, and intense house lighting. Most common plastic bags are not archival safe. <O</O

        Here is one company that sell mostly archival storage systems (about95%). The company is called SAFE collecting supplies. I forgot to post the company earlier. The have some nice long trays used for watches that could work for long ribbons.

          Thanks Paul and thanks Seb, was wondering the same thing myself!!

          And you are bang on about humidity. My grandpa must have known that also. Had a hunting store in the late 40s early 50s. When he closed he kept what he didn't sell. I have been shooting ammo from the 50s for most of my life LOL.

          Kept them dry and low humidity, they still look brand new to this day!
