    Sticking wool to wool

    Hi,
    Any tips on what adhesive to use on a wool collar tab, WW2, that has come apart on the reverse and needs sticking back in place.

    I'm not sure as to what you mean. Are you trying to re glue a collar tabs wool to the bukram? If so the old type of correct glue as called hide glue, or known as animal hide glue. Most glues during WWII both in Germany and in the USA were this type of glue. Caution this glue dries slowly, but is easly removed by water. Here's a photo

      Hi,
      I know exactly the type of glue this is.The old method was to melt chunks of it down in a glue pot.Its normal use is in furniture making.

        Yes, That is another style of hide glue(chunks). Either way will work. I just like to pre-melted / pre-mixed method. Remember a little goes a long way.
