I am still seeking a great torso form (small enough for most WWII tunics, etc) with a really nicely made wooden stand. Suggestions.....

Check out your local Craigslist! I have seen and found many such torso's on Craigslist and on the cheap!
You could also search for a local retails supply store. They will have a variety of high quality wooden bases to go with their mounted torsos.

Hi Adam, the problem is over the years I have eneded up with a mismatched sets of torsos and stands, most of which are just too large for uniforms other than smocks.

Scroll down to the "teen boys" torso and they even mention it is good for military uniforms. Pricey, but they appear to have nice wooden stands and they would all match then.

I have used fixture pronto as well, they are a bit pricey but there are many options and they look great.
