Hi everyone,
I just wanted to get some opinions on the merits and drawbacks of these methods of wrinkle removal. Rather than ironing, I've read that gently steaming an item (in this case a cotton armband) is the way to go. I also came across a few posts in which some members swear by pressing cloth items under books or other heavy items for a period of time. It seems that both have downsides; if improperly applied, steam can cause many of the same problems as water damage, while pressing may flatten the face of an armband but strongly crease where it is folded on either end. At the moment I'm leaning toward pressing since I plan on displaying it flat anyways, but let me know your opinions if you have any. Thanks in advance.
