Especially difficult old glue in wool

I have tried my tricks with this, professional dry cleaning supplies e.g. protein and enzymes etc. It does not want to come out, anyone have experience with something like this? It is not super glue but is yellow very hard now and probably organic based.

Hi, Perhaps a bit of heat will work, Try placing brown paper over the stain and gently ironing it, It may draw the glue on to the paper. Just an idea ! Regards Tobysauer.

We tried the iron and cloth trick, that helped a little but it is still there. Heat did break down the glue. The wool seems to be fine just a bit discolored temporarily from the glue breaking down but it should wash out. I always hat doing this but someone needs to save the tunic from the fire.

I had a simular problem, had success with ice-spray, after icing I could bend and fold the area, and the glue broke to little pieces which could be removed by fingernails and a brush.

Hi, I am just scared of damaging the wool or cracking it. The glue is mixed very tightly into the fabric, This is what it look like now after the ironing- Not sure it did much, just moved the glue around.
