    documents glued to cardboard backing

    I have a number of documents which at some point were glued to a cardboard backing, presumably to keep them stiff for mounting. They appear to have been mounted quite a few years ago most likely by the veteran.

    Has anyone encountered this in the past. Had any sucess removing the backing and if so are there any techniques for dealing with this?

    Hi Jeremy

    Having had Dealings in the Car trade in the Past, They use to use, Hair dryer to remove Glue, left over from Stickers attached to the Car. I have thought about using this technique on some of the Documents I have. However I'm unsure on the effects of Hair Dryer on Old Paper/Glue. Hope someone joins in with some Tips.
