The majority of my collection is combat bayonets, does anyone have some good suggestions on how to display them without causing them any damage?

There are many types of dagger displays around. You might want to conduct a forum search on bayo displays. In the world of conservation I recomend acrylic display stand are best. Avoid wood of metal type of stands. They attract moisture. Here is a link to a site called http://www.therupturedduck.com/ Bill Shea owner. has several designs under edge weapons. Always measure the humidity in your storage area. Paul

I store my bayonets in architects flat files which are also called blue print cabinets. They are the perfect depth, are made of painted sheet metal, draws are on teflon rollers & are removible. They come in many different measurements & number of draws. You can buy them cheaply from used office furniture store. I sort my bayonets by arsenal for each drawer. You can line the draws with acid free paper or archevial felt etc.
