Dusting your display items?

For those of you who display your tunics, visors, field caps et cetera outside of storage boxes, ikea cabinets or custom made boxes, what methods do you use to dust?

Or do you dust at all?

I use compressed air, or a feather duster.

i use a soft paint brush

I also use a brush....It's a squeeze blower/brush, whose bristles are made of mink (very soft). I use it for motion picture camera lenses and camera bodies, but it really gets into tight crevices where dust accumulates. It does a GREAT job!

I have a brush just like you posted above, Bob. Believe it or not, I've used the same one for the last twenty years, and it still works just fine. The only thing I keep worrying about is the chance that I might lose it someday. By now, I must admit that I've even gotten a bit attached to it.

I also use the compressed air option, and I agree that it also works quite well for the dust that's harder to remove otherwise. It's also the best way to remove dust without any physical contact, friction, etc. Removing the brush from a photography brush, and just using the squeeable blower piece, is also great for jobs that don't require so much air pressure.

I know what you mean.....I've had that mink brush since 1980. I have two others as well, but they just aren't the same....
