    Can low temps damage EKs?

    Hello

I would like to know if its bad for iron crosses to be stored in a cold room.
They are inside a drawer, inside a large closet (bedrom)...

the temperature varies from around 10 -> 17 degrees Celsius.

I believe the humidity is low. Nothing, like paper etc is ever damp, and there are never any condensation around the windows or anything. Everything seems to be dry, I just need to know of this is bad or good?

Im going to get some riker mounts later, but not yet, so this is not a place these crosses will be stored in for years, but perhaps 6 months... time will show.

Hi Steinar, For us here in the states 10C is 50F, and 17C is 62.6 actually its okay to store them at 18-20 C. is best that about 64F - 68F. Yes humidity should be about 45-43% year round. The humidity is 3/4 of the problem. That's what you want to keep it down to. Paul

Thanks a lot Paul. I'm not really sure about the humidity here in Trondheim, Norway.... I will give them some more heat then I guess...
The crosses have been stored like this since july, but now its getting colder, and it certainly won't be any warmer over the next months lol
I haven't noticed any changes on the crosses.. but im worried about the below zero degrees that's around the corner and my fiances need for an open bedroom window...life is never easy

You may want to consider moving them to a warmer part of the house. Metal like most materials shift and shrink in cold climates, or rapid temprature changes. Paul
