Can I save this Pilot photo?

My mother's friend buys and sells at antique markets and I couldn't believe this trunk full of an Army pilot's belongings.

Anyways, here is his graduation announcement from Roswell New Mexico army flightschool but the ink from the plastic announcement transfered onto his glossy photo.
the photo is in otherwise good condition,

can anyone tell me how I might remove the transfered image from this announcement?

here are the photos, you can see the blue stampings onto the photo from it being inside there a long time.

    thanks in advance

Wow! There is nothing that can be done with this original image. There is a silver toning and a blue lettering on the image. You best bet is to have it copied with a photographic film and then retouched. You would have to find a professional to restore this image. Paul

ok thanks, I always appreciate your advice.

the good news is it looks much better than the way I made the photo of it come out.

It only looks bad if you catch the light just right on it.
