    Thank you Paul. I didn't mean to suggest that I would stuff a plastic bag and then put it in a "bread bag"/haversack, I meant just to put the polyfill directly into the haversack on the mannequin. Sorry for the confusion. It sounds like the polyfill is inert and won't harm cotton equipment bags. Now I know what to stuff them with to make them appear as if they have equipment/kit articles inside. Thanks for your help. Zach

        Great post Paul.
        This helped a lot,
        now I can begin archivating my winter uniform collection and rest assured that no wrinckles nor morths will affect my uniforms.

          By using the poly fill loose you most likely will have it going all over the place. The objective overall is not to crease fabric, but to take presure off a creased areas of clothing. The crease in the fabric in time puts stress on the threads in the woven cloth. A metal left on a tunic will also depress the fabric (a dimple effect). The pin from the metal that passes throught the fabric can rust distroying fabric threads. Paul
