Where to get some cheap curators white gloves?

I'm trying to remember where I got mine.....it was either a big drugstore chain like Walgreens or a big craftstore chain like Micheals/Ben Franklin/Joannes.

My girlfriend obtained a great pair for me made of a thicker white cotton (slightly thicker than the cheap ones that one finds often). She obtained them at a beauty salon (their intended use is for the wearer to put them on once the hands are covered in cream or whatever other goo they use to help their skin). Great gloves.

I'm also a magician, so I'm currently using my white cotton magician's gloves. I admit that I started using those, because I was too lazy to look for any others. However, they actually work just fine, and I've regularly washed and re-used them for years now. I suppose I should go ahead and buy some new ones from the website bobcam1 posted above. Or, maybe I should save my money and just keep washing and using the ones I have. Hmmmm. I'll have to think about that.

Before I began using my magician's gloves, I also used a pair of photographer's gloves, since I am also a photographer. I washed and re-used those too, until I accidentally cut a hole in the end of one of the fingers, while also using them to crop photos. So, I know you can also buy white cotton gloves in most photography stores, since they are, of course, also used to handle photographs. However, the gloves on the website posted by bobcam1 are in a convenient variety of sizes and thicknesses. They are also, of course, at much better prices, since they are sold in bulk.

The only thing I will add for consideration is that sometimes the gloves sold in bulk at cheaper prices are actually too cheap, too thin, and not even appropriate for our needs. Sometimes specialty gloves like I mentioned above are a little more expensive for a single pair, but last longer and save you money in the long run--that is if you just don't mind washing them every now and then. My magician's gloves are actually the best I've ever used!

I just like to throw my 2cents in on these white gloves. They are a great item to wear when we handle a collection. I found when in time they do become soild they was be washed on the gentle cycle in cool water. I find if I buy the heavier one's I can wash them 6-8 times before they fall apart. I also would not dry them in a dryer of any long peroid of time I found out they xtra large in the dryer turns into a medium size. I also put one pair aside just for handling oiled firearms, and I keep reusing that pair for quite awhile. So a dozen should well last several years. Paul

I haven't checked this out yet myself, but my wife, who is a doctor, tells me that you can also buy varying thicknesses of white cotton gloves at medical supply stores. I'm going to check that out soon for myself, and I'll let you know later what I found. If they do have them, that could be another cheap alternative.

I bought a half dozen of those white cotton gloves from my local old/antique stamp and coins dealer, I always wear a pair while touching/moving my items, especially with helmets and badges.

I bought a dozen of the heavyweight cotton gloves from the link bobcam1 supplied above. They look great, will do the job and look like they will last a while even with occasional laundering.
