    Boxed Up Uniform Odor Help!!!

    Hey guys, I justed picked up a few trunk groupings and the smell of the uniforms is pretty rank. Enough that my wife is complaining ALOT! So...saying that, I know dry cleaning will take a lot of the odor away..but what if I do not want to dry clean? Is there another way to cut down or kill the odor?

    Several hats were in included that also have a bad storage odor..and I don't believe you can dry clean service caps can you?

    Anyway..any help will be fantastic in cutting down this storage odor, my wife is not getting any happier about it!

      The new home air cleaners are really amazing. I have a living Air Breeze, which will remove the odors. In fact, the good ones now have an air sanitizer mode, which will kill the toughest of mildew spores. Just to give you an idea, I had a tunic which smelled terribly of mothballs. In 2 weeks of hanging in front of the air cleaner, the smell was almost gone. Come to find out that there were 3 mothballs still in one of the sleeve cuffs. And it STILL almost completely wiped out the odor. These run about $300. Mildew smell will NOT go away, unless you kill the spores...
