Paper item upkeep? Your opinions and methods?

Hey guys anything I can learn to help keep my photos and docs looking good is a blessing so I'll you what I do right now and hopefully people will have more to add!

So far what I do for my docs and paper items is put them in frames with backing paper provided, if frame is bigger than I back it with non acidic construction paper. Also I keep my blinds fully drawn and closed at all times. Any other ideas? All the best, Jon

Personally I think the best way to display your photos is to go to a high end copier of photos like a photolab or something and get one copied. I know how you feel because you will want to display the real thing because it's historically significant, but the good thing is you can enlarge the copies and frame them. The acidic paper is best for the photos (I have an album with acidic paper).

I had trouble coming to terms with not being able to display with lighting and all, but it's worth it to preserve the history.
