    Rust removal tip

I was recently searching for a safe method to remove rust on machine parts. I happen to come across this website: http://www.bhi.co.uk/hints/rust.htm
Since this method is used for clock parts it should be safe for belt buckles and some medals. The positive aspect of this method is that it will only remove the rust and not affect any of the base metal. I have not given it a try, but will report back when I do. Further searching on conservation sites also showed that a variation of this method is also used by museums to conserve badly corroded and ground dug artifacts.
