I have a nice naval scabbard with most of the gilding retained, the only problem being it has one major dent in the middle. Does anyone know of someone who can remove this in the UK?

Naval Scabbard Dent Removal
Hi Jim,
How's it going, any thoughts on how to remove the scabbard dent, I heard someone cast an inner mold the fashioned a hard wood replica to push these out from the inside. Don't think you can use heat as the scabbard is covered in laquer.
Also have two badges for repair a cheap zinc destroyer which needs a top hook and a nice zinc para which needs a main pin. would like this one to be as original as possible, thinking of trying to get a cheap denatz zincer to source an original pin.

hi rob you can do this your self just nip down to your local pub get yourself a knackered pool Que then whip out your runners out of the scabbed then cut down the Que till you get the thickness then get your self a file and file the Que at both sides to get the shape of the scabbed keep cutting and filing and you will get there. always keep your scabbard facing upwards so you don't knacker the bottom pommel then holding your scabbed with one hand gently bang down you will get the idea trust me.
