I have bought many loose pictures and I want to put them all into one album. Anyone have any ideas where to buy some good ones? I have pictures of all sides. Some huge post-card size and some little individual portrait ones. Any ideas???

Go to a camera/photographic supply store & get some of the plastic sheets made to hold photos of different sizes. These will keep your photos nice and flat in a 3 ring binder. The plastic pages have pockets of different sizes & you can get just about any size pocket up to 8 1/2" x 11". I've got hundreds of photos stored this way and have never had any negative results. DO NOT use those "magnetic", photo pages that just lay over the photos. That type has chemicals in them that may damage your photos. Talk to the folks @ your local camera store & they can get you on the right track.

Here's what I did with my picture postcards. I got one of these old fashioned style photo albums that use those stick on corners to attach the pictures. The pictures themselves aren't harmed as they just fit into the corners, which you lick like a stamp and put on. The albums look closer to a period type album. I actually got mine at Wall Mart. I hope this is an Ok method. Seems ok and makes a nice project to chip away at. Framing everything is too pricey and takes up alot of space. The old photos are hard to fit into modern frames anyway.Comment

If I come across a real nice picture I'll take the extra time and a few bucks to frame it. Still not expensive if you can find pre cut frames and mats. Here's a couple of examples. A nice 5 x 7.Comment

I managed to find a nice frame, again at Wal Mart that fit these three postcard photos perfectly. They were all of the same person so I displayed them on thier own. They are in the middle. To the left is another nice 5 x 7 I framed for display. Some nice ones are worth framing.Comment

Same goes for documents. This one was so nice I decided it deserved it's own frame and place on the wall. I get alot of compliments on it.Comment

I have also framed alot of my photo postcards. They are a little smaller usually than 4 x 6 but will fit in a 4 X 6 frame especially if you put a backing behind them of white ot black paper. The best frames I find are these cheap dollar store ones. They are very understated and look close to peroid type frames. They also cost next to nothing. The other frames I've shown are more modern but I still think they are appropriate for displaying these type of pictures. Some modern ones just don't work. With these cheap frames you can switch photos in and out so your displays keep changing. Here's one of my favorites in one of those dollar store frames.Comment

Just thought I'd show some of the things I've done with my photos. I do store the rest in those archival type sleeves that Craig talked about. Alot of the photos I've bought came with them so I just kept them. Photos are fun to collect because they give you different display options and they generally don't break the bank.Comment

Yes, unfortunetly for me though, I do not have a lot of space for displaying. I'm only 16 and my parents aren't so "loving and supporting" of my Third Reich collecting interest, so I can't put em all over the house. I have my tiny room to work with. I want to frame an award document I have and put it up in my room on the wall, but we'll see.
