    That depends solely on the maker. Many pre RZM SA grips are well defined with crisp edges and are not all smooth. With over two hundred and fifty known makers of SA/NSKK daggers the variety of subtle grip contours is an interest to collectors.

    I am more than a bit familiar with SA and other German daggers. I started buying SA daggers back in the day when I would have them sent to the States from London for $25- $30 each. Delivered. Unfortunately those days are long gone.

    My position about using of any power tools for 'cleaning' or 'restoration' by folks not familiar with what they are doing remains the same. Please don't. The results will speak for you long after you are finished.
