    Preserving an EK II

Hello all. I have a very nice unmarked K&Q EK II. I was admiring this beauty the other day when i noticed slight rusting begining to show. It is very slight, but rust it is. Can i somehow slow down this ageing process?

It's currently being stored wrapped in tissue, inside the cardboard envelope which it arrived to me in. This envelope is then in a locked metal 'cash' style box. I have a feeling you guys are going to tell me to get this cross out of it's coffin and let some fresh air get to it! Any ideas?

    Many thanks in advance.

You must keep the cross in a dry environment. Use a hair dryer to gently remove any trapped moisture in the cross. Do not keep it in rooms were windows are constantly kept open. Keep the cross away from sticky fingers. Handle it as little as possible. Use silica gel bags close to the collection/cross.

    Good luck.
    Peter
