    Wool/Cotton Preservation

    Hi all!

I was thinking if the methods of preserving Wool & Cloth items (specifically, Armbands) that I'm planning are correct.

First for the Wool, how could I prevent damage to it? Could I prevent further Moth holes if I keep it sealed inside a Zip bag?

Also, would it help in perserving Wool if I kept it in a Dry Cabinet?

Plus I'd like to know, are "Moth Holes" actually caused by the "Moths" that fly around and look like Butterflies? (or I was thinking if these moth holes are caused by other pests like cockroches, silverfish, etc.)

As for Cotton, are Cotton items also susceptible to "Moth hole" damage?

And would storing it in a Dry Cabinet or a Sealed Zip Bag prevent any further damage?

Plus, is it ok to Iron the "bad foldings" of Armbands or will this action depreciate its price/destroy it?

Thanks in advance! Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

actualy i was wondering that too, especially the ironing of armbands. I have a silk one and just don't dare to iron it, i have put it behind glas and that keeps it a bit in the shape it was meant to be, but still not without foldings, any tips maybe?
