    Best paint remover?

    Hi all!

Seeing the thread on "Best Ink Remover", I wonder what is best to remove paint? Looks like someone painted something green while wearing the LW Tropical tunic I have now, and there are a few drops (5 to 6) on the front and sleeve.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Frank.

Hi Frank, are they blobs of old hard paint? If so, you could try and gently scrape off the worst then brush the remaining particules off with a toothbrush or similar.

I had a jump smock that belonged to a US vet who painted his house while wearing it. I was able to scrape off 90+% of the paint with an X-acto knife and it looked great afterwards.

        Ben,

nope, no blobs. Look like it was very thin, and it got soaked into the fabric, or someone already scraped these blobs away.

        Gene,

paint + jump smock = sacrilige! But I understand that vets saw 'liberated items' just as tools, we collectors obviously see them quite different.

        Frank.
