    Medal repair

    Hello

    I need some advise how to repair my Medal.

    The Medal is attached to the Ribbon through a little Ring welded on the Medal.
    This came off and I now would like to get it together again.

    The Medal itself is 900 Silver and the Ring is Iron. Is it possible to weld or soldering the Ring to the Medal with the normal Soldering-Tool or should I give it to a Goldsmith?

    hi if you try soldering your medal it will not work its not strong enough you need real silver solder to do the job? why dont you go down five posts from here and see that very nise man that will do it for you?

          Hey Jim,

          It might be an American product only. It is basically liquid welding........I use it on all sorts of badges when they need it, and it works with tons of metal types.
