Can small packs of silica be used to keep moisture out of leather, cloth etc ?

The small silica packs can be used if you don't have very high humidity. If you have a very damp climate, or if the uniforms are stored in a place where the temperature gets cool, like in a cellar, you would need a larger silica container.
