New addition to my display room

    Morning All,

In the building where I keep my vehicles there is a wall that I hadn't done anything with, the shape suggested the front wall of a house. I had found a picture of a street in Luxembourg, before it got blown to bits, and in that picture there is a small café, it's this building that I took my inspiration from. After hay making this summer, we had a wet period and I didn't feel like starting anything else so...…….

There is a loft above the attached building so a set of rough stairs were needed to access this area and I needed a couple of windows, so I spent some time in the wood work shop.

There are areas that I want to represent stone where the plaster has fallen off, for the stone I used polyurethane insulation rough gouged out to form the shape of stones. The rest of the area is covered in plasterboard and then given a coat of plaster.

That's the thing with WAF being out of order for so long, I have been busy and have a back log of stuff to post.

Next painting. I am not very good at painting, I can't seem to get the colours right but I am trying and I like the finishing part, all the details.

And of course a café needs a sign and I think that there can only be one name for a ww2 café.

I still have a few details and the wall papering to do before I give it it's final weathering but that can wait until a cold winters day.

              Thanks all,

              Jon
