    Starting over.....

Sold off my entire collection about two years ago. This year I’ve starting rebuilding.

Hey....I know it’s not much but it’s a reboot of passion based on my love of military history. Give me another ten years and this is where the Iron Crosses will grow.

Love the flag and dagger displays, and that Romanov memorial plate.

My story is identical to yours ,sold it all two years ago then woke up one morning 6 months ago and started again...

        Cheers,

You are well on your way, there shouldn't be a rush to build or "rebuild
          a collection. Great looking pieces.

          God Bless the Marines!

I too am in the restart phase. Glad I am not the only one who had to sell their entire collection only to start anew later on. Great looking start!

Appreciate the comments fellas! And you are right....the thrill of the hunt NEVER gets old. I remember a guy years ago....sold his lifetime collection and got a knights cross. He could hold his entire collection in one hand...lol.
Hope to keep collecting for the rest of my life, so see you guys around. Looking for SS and police crossover items. KZ items are cool but a minefield of about 98% fakes.....even on dealer sites. Had some awesome LARGE police framed photographs I would like to find again and had an incredible map from Poland of all the KZ camps. I’m trying to upgrade from what I had but I’ve been able to pull a good deal out of the woodwork. Generations are switching hands again....so it’s still out there.
                Take care, Semper Fi

Didnt realize how many occurrences on starting over were posted until I looked around. Beautiful display. I guess the collection bug is hard to dismiss after a while.
