Very nice job. I'm sure it looks fine on your tunic and one day you may upgrade to an original
    Best regards,

A thread about how to make fakes to look more original is maybe interesting for display purposes but surely not for the Crosses Forum. That is why ithas been moved here.

Thanks for moving it to the proper forum! Wasn’t sure where it should belong.

I must remember to tell the owner of this Spitfire that I don't like it because 90% of it is reproduction.

Firstly I'd like to say that if it works for you then fine ,I wish you the all the best

I'm the kind of person where if asked for an opinion ill give it and in this instance my opinion is that I dislike reproduction militaria full stop.

I see absolutely no attraction in having (in this instance) an original third Reich tunic decorated with an artificially aged decoration. I take your point on the financial side of things and as I said before good luck to you but when I see repros and worse again artificially aged repros it sticks in my throat.

I'd love to see your original tunic mind you

            Kind regards ,

            Ross
Here a photo of the aged medals I have on my tunic. I think they turned out nice.

Very well done with the Tunic. A Woundbadge is still missing there and you have it amost done then. Congrats

I’m waiting to find a nice original beat up one to put on there. Wound badges are quite cheap so I’ll get an original one of that. Also looking to get probably a two piece original ribbon bar to put on there. Hopefully I can find a nice one with a 4 year service ribbon and an Ostfront ribbon as I think the blue of the 4 year ribbon will add an interesting pop of color to the tunic.

Personally I don't like reproductions but understand your reason for putting one on a tunic due to the cost of an original. You did a nice job of aging the cross. The only thing I would ask is that you scratch the word fake on the back. Hopefully that will prevent some new collectors spending their hard earned cash on an artificially aged fake when your collection comes up for sale.
