I've owned this one since 1995, but I have never had it on a mannequin. I'm a little disappointed with the results as this was evidently a good-sized guy and my mannequin is too small. The Waffenrock just hangs like a big sack on it and I had to use suspenders on the trousers and hike them up a good bit as they were larger in the waist and longer in the leg than my 6' mannequin. Anyway, Karmesinrot is a very pretty Waffenfarbe and I wanted to enjoy having this uniform on display for a while. Around the time this Waffenrock was tailored, there were at most only 700 Wehrmacht veterinarians on active duty.

Thank-you very much. Unfortunately this guy did not survive the war.
My guy here is most likely Karl Koppenhöfer. He was killed in Russia.

Thanks to a kind friend who showed me this, he appears in the Dienstaltersliste A of the 1938 Rangliste. He was, at that time, the battalion veterinarian of the 3rd battalion of Artillery Regiment 35.
