Thank you all for the kind comments.
I think it's fair to expose these pieces with care. Many times we invest a lot of time to study, locate and acquire rare pieces, which are many years old and cost a lot of money ... and then we do not spend time exposing them properly; illuminating them, searching or creating frames and boxes in consonance with the importance of the exposed piece.
Now I show you my recently acquired Kappmesser Type I made by SMF in a box that I made whose glass can be removed to pick up and enjoy the knife; I have placed it next to my LW Schirmmutze, a large size Erel "Sonderklasse" with a Kradfahrer.
The other display features an Italian-German dictionary inside which had two photos of the soldier owner and a real and dry Edelweiss flower along with a knife, also from the soldier himself. I completed the display with an Edelweiss hat, an officer Edelweiss and a hand-embroidered sleeve patch. Added a climbing pin and a Skijaeger porcelain pin dated back, by hand, on 6-03-38. All this placed on a piece of original Zeltbahn of 1943. I placed it next to my GJ Eisspickel.
