Flak Stein

Not sure where to put this, but I finally got something I've wanted for a long time. I have several imperial steins, but this is my first Third Reich example. It's dated just a little over a week before the invasion of Poland. Anyway. an old friend gust gave it to me for doing some work for him. I had always admired the 88 flak gun on it and had not seen one with a Luftwaffe lid before. Anyway, I'm a happy camper to have it in my collection.

Congratulations on a wonderful looking Stein! I like the graphics on it, the image
seems to fit the time period with those biplanes off in the distance. Great Luft lid
on it as well, really nice condition.

(I feel sorry for those biplanes though. They have no chance against that 88!)

A very attractive Krug, especially the lid. The artist really used his imagination depicting the “88” as it does not look like any one I’m familiar with.

Nice stein. Luftwaffe steins are far harder to find than their Heer counterparts. Luftwaffe steins always bring a nice premium at auction.
