    Christmas in summer.

When a large box arrives from the auction house... it feels like Christmas came early. If only I had a tree to stack all of this under, I could go to bed and then run to it the next morning to "discover" my toys.

          Very nice and minty rocks!

I was eyeing that Kav rock myself. I loved the real silver collar tabs that had toned!

          Congrats!

                  THANKS Gary!
Yes, the patina on the real silver collar and cuff tabs is neat.

I was really wanting to get the Leutnant Kav piped walking out tunic, but my bidder and I had our wires crossed. We talked by phone at the end of the auction and he told me the Waffenrock had crossed the block with no bids so he had the auction house throw it on my tab at the opening bid price (plus buyer's premium of course).

                    Todd,

Like I said before. All really nice rocks.

Thies did have some really nice piped walking out tunics, as you mentioned, especially the named/attributed ones.

Please post some individual pix of each when you get time!

Thank-you gentlemen! It was the largest "mass" purchase I have made all year and probably will remain that way for the rest of the year, unless I buy a lucky lottery ticket. As I think I mentioned there were several smaller items not pictured that came from the auction, but I'll try to get to photographing everything properly and posting in the appropriate forums.

Thanks again Gary. Yes, I was trying to make a play for a couple RKT attributed pieces, but like I said my "man on the ground" and I had some miscommunication and I ended up not even getting my bids entered.

I'll definitely be photographing the individual rocks as time allows.
