    WWI 82nd Collection

I've been focusing on WWII German for quite some time. I've since switched over to collecting WWI 82nd memorabilia and American Civil War. Here's the humble beginnings of my new journey into WWI collecting. I hope you enjoy the setup. I've been trying for the best way to display all the items for a special museum exhibit coming to my town. Since this will be my first public display, I'm open to any new ideas or suggestions from the forum. I'd be glad to hear from you.
    -Chuck

PS I recently had this collection posted in another forum so I switched it over to the proper one.

Thanks Giel and Junior for your comments. I was thinking about placing an Springfield '03 or Enfield rifle in the background but like you suggested Giel, I think I have just enough for a well balanced display.

Very nice display! I always like the flag behind the uniform, it seems to set of the uniform nicely. Did the uniform belong to the guy in the picture?

I never managed to find a WWI uniform big enough to go on a bust, the uniforms usually run pretty small.

Thanks for the kind reply. The photo doesn't belong to the uniform (at least I don't think it does....). I bought it separately. The guy depicted in the image has a variation of the "AA" patch that I haven't encountered yet. The examples I have seen thus far have either chain stitching or have the braiding stitched to the backing. This guy is displaying an 82nd patch with felt/wool letters instead of the other two I mentioned. Actually, I take that back. I do recall seeing an example like that being sold on Ebay not too long ago but I never placed a bid. Didn't like the look of it. In regards to the uniform fitting properly, I guess you can say I was lucky! I know that both WWI and some WWII uniforms generally run small. I've been really fortunate that the Luftwaffe tunic I have will fit the bust as well.
