    My updated Bunker

    Hey chaps.

Thought it was time to switch things up a bit in the bunker.

I swapped out that comfy armchair for an antique desk which I put to far more use and thus am actually in the bunker far more often now.

I also swapped out the awesome large velvet podium banner for a subtler cotton banner, although I'm thinking of bringing that velvet sweetie out again. And I got a new curio cabinet. The wood matches the rest of the furniture and there are more shelves.

And with a little some wood stain, varnish and some red paint, I made a sweet backdrop panel for my railroad eagle. I know.. I know... it fukkin rocks!!! LOL.

    Enjoy the sites.

    WOW that's mind blowing...
I would love to have a room like that one day. I especially love the 'nazis destroy Louvain' newspaper article as i am currently living in Louvain
    cheers

Now this is VERY nice indeed.

I wish everyone would put so much effort into displaying their stuff!

One of the coolest "men-caves" i have ever seen... Can you tell us the size of the room? I would love to have a room like that but the problem is that i collect uniforms and then you need space-space and space...

I have a similar arrangement and my bunker also functions as an office computer port. My wife claims that if I had a refrigerator and a toilet in there I'd probably never come out!

I remember your old set up and I like the changes very much. Still a big fan of your flag displays.

LOL. My (Japanese) wife won't go near my bunker. She calls it the creepy ghost room.

My museum is actually quite small in size. It's in the basement opposite the furnace and water heater, and I built the wooden walls outta deck wood from Home Depot and partitioned the area off.

The whole museum is only 7' 6" deep by about 7' 5" wide..... believe it or not.

The desk is 3' 5" long and 19" deep. It's an antique students desk. Which is perfectly sized for the space I have.

The curio cabinet is mirrored so it looks big but is actually only 10" deep, but it's more than enough to hold pictures, small plates, cutlery and even large flags, folded.

The chest of drawers is just 16" deep.

What you use in relation to the space makes all the difference, and it does take some shopping around. But I'm kinda an expert at making the most out of small spaces as I have always lived in small dwellings. And the house I live in is shared so..... yeah.

Actually she doesn't. Thinks it's creepy. But hell... most wives would NEVER allow something like this so "creepy" is the next best thing to "it's looks amazing" in my book.
