A Peek Inside the War Room...

I realized it had been several years since I posted my collection all in one place, so as I was doing a little cleaning and rearranging in the War Room on a cold Texas day, I thought I would share my collection. Enjoy, and Happy New Year!

    Don

First off, a few unnamed tunics - the Veterinary major's Waffenrock only has the initial "S" inside, so lost to time, sadly. The 98. Gebirgsjäger piped feldbluse is neat in that the shoulder boards were "built" with the cyphers inserted in the silver braid before the base was sewn on:

A lonely Nebel officer's visor in search of a Waffenrock to accompany it and the named Waffenrock to later Generalleutnant Georg Graf von Rittberg, recipeint of the Oakleaves to the Knight's Cross:

Next is a Wehrersatz/Recruiting Hauptmann piped tunic from Wehrkreis IV in a rare large size:

As close as I'll probably get to a chaplain's uniform, a nice early Janke-made uniform and the converted Waffenrock to Panzergrenadier Oberstleutnant Ewald Heinrici, complete with Erel visor:

One of three tunics I have belonging to Generalleutnant Alois Ritter Graf von Molo, Stadtkommandant of Stuttgart until his death from cancer in 1943, and my "odds and sods" tray. Most of the high-end medals are reproduction, however. Von Molo was five foot one at best, so finding mannequins small enough to fit his uniforms is a challenge:

Here's an unnamed Hauptmann dR of the Pionier and the M36 walking-out tunic of Oberst Heinrich Becker, KIA immediately after Kursk and CO of the 27th Panzer Regiment.

OK - two more for tonight: The Waffenrock to Oberst, later Generalmajor, Kurt Wuthenow, who later headed up all German POW camps in occupied Norway, a lovely Janke Panzer Lehr impression, and the General Staff uniform to Oberst Franz von Harling, who was involved in coordinating Abwehr and anti-Partisan activities in the former Yugoslavia:

I was looking forward to this thread for a long time and it was worth the wait. Great stuff as expected Don. I personally like the panzergren tunic and visor the most. Any close up of that? J

A couple more: M36 Generalmajor tunic named to RKT Louis Tronnier, and the Waffenrock for Oberst, later General der Infanterie Georg Postel, Eichenlaubträger. Postel's tunic is from his second tour at the Munich War Academy:
