That is an outstanding display; one of the nicest museum-quality presentations I've seen in a long time. I've not gone as far as you, but I too like to tag my items.
Long ago, I could remember everything and pull the details on a particular item out of my head on command. But I found that as I got older and more stuff accumulated around me, when I'd show people my collection, I'd say stuff like: "Give me a minute and I'll remember where I got that, who it belonged to, the story behind it...and so on."
So now, everything gets a little archive tag with relevant information printed on it. That way, when I drop dead--any minute now --my wife and kids will know what everything is and have some approximate idea of value.
Again, let me compliment you on an outstanding collection that is beautifully and tastefully presented.
