    Army Dagger/Badge Display

This is one of those projects that took on a life of its own. I made up the box about a year ago, knowing what I wanted to do with it when the time was right. Now, 1.) after getting together all the badges and 2.) after considerable trial and error re: the best way to get everything secured and where I wanted it and 3.) getting caught up on orders for paying customers, here's the finished product...hope you like it!

    First - the exterior:

Wow Skipper, that looks very nice! Are the badges attached somehow or just resting in brackets? What maker dagger is that too?

          Thanks Jason,

The bases are fitted to the hinge/pin/catch so each badge fits into the slot and rests on the base.

The dagger is an unmarked, artificial Damascus bladed example with a simulated ivory grip. (Guess the guy wanted to look like a million, but didn't have it to spend )

Hopefully, this photo gives one a better idea how the badges are set up in the display:

Nice display Skip. Is that an Army Para Badge? You don't see them every day!

Yes...that was the last of the badges I needed. It's an unmarked, zinc example.

                      Steve,
You've got a good eye. It is indeed maple (with Cocobolo accents in the top and corner splines.)

                      Thanks for the kind words!

Those are some small Wehrmachtsadler stickpins I picked up from Rex Reddick at the S-O-S.
