Nice salty Parka. I would call it winter/spring.

              Regards

                  Hi,
Better a used one than all those mint ones?

                    Thanks guys!

Indeed spring/winter instead of fall, my mistake
There was a mint one too but I prefered the salty one with damages. Makes your imagination go wild.

Next up will be a belt + buckle, would love to get a helmet but those are really expensive.

The smock is possibly a bring-back item from an US vet who has been to Belgium in '44. Not sure if this is true though. The smock probably comes somewhere from FR-BE-DE.

Will you set it up on a shirt stand? Looks like you have a couple years of collecting all ready to go. Prost!

In the future yes, but for now I do not have any rooms for a mannequin.
The parka is now hanging in a closet inside the black cover you see on the pictures.

                            Hi,

Bought a canteen and 'fettbüchse' to go with this smock. Pictures will follow.

Just a question, do I look for items from 1943 like my smoke to match or it doesn't matter what year the items were produced?

For intance a M40 helmet matches with this 1943 smock and shoes from 1942?
Did a soldier keep his helmet for his whole time in the army or did he have to deliver it back when he had his days/weeks off?
