    My "Berlin 1945" paper collection

    Hello friends,
    Have a great year 2017!
As I'm limited with space (and the good wifes restrictions) I collect only paper items (leaflets, newspapers, ...) related to the final battle for Berlin.
I've a verry small "collection" but it keeps me busy and happy.
The images show how the paper-work grew in 2016
    Regards
    Peter

Interesting focus and very nice display!

My wife is too understanding for her own good, therefore my paperwork fills archive boxes across a couple of rooms... If that wasn't bad enough, she also has to contend with ordnance, uniforms and equipment!

    Regards,
    Michael

                Good morning,
                Thanks for the positive reactions!

"....Hello Peter nice collection, what are the frames made of and do they stop the paper items from turning brown would they be Ok for iron cross award documents thanks Kevin..."

                @Kevin
Every paper is backsupported bij a thin sheet of 2 mm thick "common" glass. The front plate is a 2 mm thick piece of museumglass (reduces 95% of the UV-light).
These 2 pieces are clipped together with 2 pieces of plastic clear "poster-strip"
Further is my book cabinet so positionned that direct sunlight is avoided.
IMO that protects enough; 100 % protection does not exist (paper is not here to last for ever) ... but I prefer to see them on stand instead of knowing to have them covered up in special boxes.

                Cheers

                Peter

Hi Peter, interesting collection, Berlin 1945 is my main area of interest and collecting too..!

Could you say a little more about what each piece is? It is a little hard to tell from the photos. Which are your favourites?

                    All the best,
                    Mark

Can you post Flugblatt for the German troops on the Oder-front (16.4.1945)?
