Some pics of my 7 year old collection

    Hi,

I've been collecting militaria, mostly Third Reich militaria, for about seven years now. I've had some breaks for a couple of months from time to time but have managed to build up a pretty decent collection. From the beginnig I've tried to always buy my items in as good condition as possible. It makes the collecting a bit expensive but It's worth it. But sometimes I can't resist buying something even if It's in bad shape. Some items , as the EK1, is not in so good condition but will be upgraded soon. I've sold almost all my zink items and try to upgrade them for tombak ones. My collection is not huge but I'm working on it and it will continue to grow.

Today I brought a nice cabinet home where I can store my items and when I started to bring them out of my closet I thought that It's the time to take some pics and show you my items.

I'm sorry for the bad pics. One of my next projects is to get a decent camera and then I'll make some better pics for you. The thread will probably be updated from time to time since I got some nice items coming in soon.

Hope you enjoy and feel free to write some feedback!

    Best regards

    Ökenräven

Some items awarded to Swedish volunteers on the eastern front during the Finns war against the russians. In the middle, the rare Hango clasp, up to the left is a medal awarded to civilian volunteers, up to the right is the volunteer medal awarded to combatants, this on with "LAPPI"-spange and swords. Up in the middle there's also to plaques awarded to combatants.

From left to right: a ID-tag for a member of "Hirdens Bedriftsvern", the Norwegian "Tapper og tro"-medal, the Finnish Cross of Liberty, dutch Mussert-Cross, an Estonian officers school cross and then the Nordfront cross.

Some Swedish orders, some Finnish and then some Danish pins made by the famous jeweller Georg Jensen. I think those were awarded to members of the Danish resistance. Items awarded to members of the resistance-movements is something that I consider to start collecting.

Excellent collection. Top notch examples of each.
You've done well these last seven years.
                  Keep it going strong!

It's fun to see Finnish items too once in a while!

                    Best regards from Finland,

                      Great collection

Could you show more about the generals grouping and tell who he is?

Nice collection off badges, and medals, and a very nice pick up, that cabinet off individual boxes to put and display them is also very nicely made, well done.

Wow, neat collection. Very diversified. I really like your Swedish,
Danish and Finnish badges/medals. I've never had the pleasure of
viewing these great examples. Exquisite pieces , to say least.
