Slow and steady as you said .Once bitten by the collecting bug it gets very tempting to grow the collection . There is a wealth of knowledge on this forum with lots of options for collecting different items or information . I have dealt with dealers and at times and perhaps for a bit more but were the real deal and pristine with lay away options .Nice start to your collection .

As Joe says, you've made a good start!
Too many new collectors do not want to start with basic pieces
and opt for the higher medals or Elite unit items.
Without the expertise and experience, this often leads to disaster!
Starting out with basic (I.e., common) items gives you a good opportunity
to inspect the way they are made and how a 70+ year old item has withstood the effects of time!

Amen to that! That's the trap I walked in when I started arround my 12. Only about 10 years later you learn that you have made many mistakes and payed much "learning money" and then you can start all over! Nice stuff you got. Keep building it steadily and learn a lot from the advice of the "old breed" collectors who are on here!

Might want to consider some kind of padding under the helmets as the gas cans will destroy the liners over time.

But the collection looks great.
