    Aquarium for visor hats?

No, I do not plan to display them underwater Simply for a better dust protection have the idea to make a personal lid for each visor hat, from glass, like an aqarium /upside-down aquarium/.

My question is: what do you think about the aquarium glues? I think to use aquarium glue for the glasses. This glue seems to be safe enough not to poison the fish in the aquariums, so if well dried, it must not release any fumes that would damage the hats... What do you think?

It sounds like a good idea. Once you use the glue wait a few days until it cures completely. At least that's what I would do.

although I am sure there will be opinions from the other side, I think this is OK as long as you keep out of direct sunlight and keep the humidity down in your display area...you do not want any moisture/condensation on the interior of your glass.

Instead of a fish tank, there are several places you can buy display cases for these...here is something you might like and a bit more "pretty" than your standard upside down fish tank.

Great boxes The only problem will be the shipment at the price of an SS helmet

Of course, you are right, but then I can make for example the back glass-side a bit lower than the other, so there will be a "slit" between it and the glass roof... Something like this, still trying to get the best idea

Some hardware stores sell packets of dessicant -- moisture absorbing material in a porus packet about the sise of a packet of sugar. Throw one or two of those in with your hat before placing your glass on top of it. That should keep the moisture under control. Just remember to replace the packets once in a while.

            Aquraium silicon

I used to manufacture custom made aquariums for people, did some really neat ones, i wish I had pictures.

Anyhow, At your hardware store, you can find "Aquarium safe clear silicone, its the same price as the norm, you wont have any problems with it, give it 24 hrs to cure, rinse and all smell will be gone.

This is a good idea, it will be great if you have a lead on some glass somewhere, as it is not cheap to buy.

You should be able to knock them of rather quickly once you get the hang of it, if you need anyhelp on this give me a PM, Theres lots of easy techiques for building your box's and cutting your glass.

              Hi Theodore,

can you not use clear plastic / (acrilic) sheet ?? it would be easier to cut to size, and i am sure a safe adhesive could be found. Also the weight would be greatly reduced, and sa lot safer if it some how fell over / off its diaplay area.
