Acquired this one thanks to a fellow forum member – a tunic for a Flieger-Stabsingenieur. The tunic unfortunately is not named. It is in good condition – a few moth nips but the insignia still looks very sharp.
Thanks Wayne - yep not usual for the combat awards on an ingenieur tunic, but not unheard of. Transfers did occur if the right qualifications were held. For example, this ingenieur is wearing a ground combat badge -
Hi everyone - another acquisition - a tunic for a flieger-hauptingenieur.
Unfortunately this one is not named but the pink insignia shows no sign of having been tampered with. The tabs and glider badge show signs of oxidation, but otherwise the tunic is in good condition. It has holes through the fabric for what looks like one pin back badge and a small ribbon bar - there is some slight fading around these areas where the badges were.
Slowly working my way towards a tunic of each of the standard ranks - it's a lofty ambition, but technically I am half way...!
Hi all - some more recent pick ups. Firstly, this tunic for a fliegeroberingenieur. Unfortunately it is not named, but everything shows consistent wear and it looks like the insignia has been there forever. It is of a rather small size.
Next up is a pair of breeches for a generalingenieur. You can see that the colour is ingenieurkorps and not General Staff.
Lastly is this tab, for an NCO, essentially an engineering officer cadet. Unfortunately it is only the one and not a pair.
Another addition - a Fliegerbluse for a Stabsingenieur. Again, sadly not named. According to the last owner, this one was found at an airfield in Norway after the war. It has some nice quality tabs and an early droop tail eagle. The tunic is a little worn and moth eaten, but I haven't seen many ingenieurkorps fliegerbluse's (this is my first) so I decided to pursue this one. Glad to have added it to my ingenieurkorps collection.
Hi everyone – here is another addition – a white summer tunic for a Luftwaffe Stabsingenieur. This one is made from a soft ribbed silk-like material. It is very soft, and very light weight. The insignia is all removable, including the collar tabs, which are held on by snaps (the tabs fit the snaps perfectly, and the snaps are not sewn through both layers of the collar, which gives me confidence that they have been with the tunic for a very long time). It is not named. This is only the second summer tunic for this branch that I have seen.
