    "Customannequin" (Painting mannequin process)

    Hi to All!

    There's long time that I would like to show some steps of the transformation of a Custommannequin (hand painted customized mannequins posted for most of them on the thread;
    "Painting Mannequins (By Request!)" http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=180061)
    So I decided to take time when I painted the last one just finished some days ago to photograph 7 different steps of the painting process since the original shop mannequin condition until the final painted result...also, some of you sometimes ask me some advice for painting and I often replied that it was not explainable easily with words...Of course there's painting technique behind but it's more a question of personal style and dexterity, find his own way to reach the desired effect and...a lot of time & experience!

    So, if it's not easy with words it's maybe more simple by pictures...Here they are!

    The painting tools & colours (only 4!)

    Realised from an old Herbert Jung mannequin base with originally an interesting face with lifelike potential...revealed by painting...I hope!

    Canuck or Landser...it works for all

              Amazing Talent. I like the details that you put in there with the "Battle Damage". You would be amazed at how many bumps, scrapes, and bruises a Soldier encounters on a daily basis. For Example today as an Infantryman I worked in the office and still walked away with about two bruises and possibly a black eye. But we were bored and fought each other for bragging rights.

                        If only you could do that kind of work on real people.
