I'm building a small shadow box to display a totenkopf and a visor eagle. They've both seen better days, and would benefit from a few leds at the top of the box to provide accent lighting. I have my case on a timer, but as this frame will be free floating on the wall, I don't want to plug it into an outlet.
I was initially going to run the LEDs off a battery, but then wondered if it's possible to run them off a solar panel, like a calculator. My plan was a simple circuit using 2 or 3 LEDs but I'm not electrically inclined and don't know if this is something that could actually run using the same sort of solar system that a calculator uses.
Can anyone shed some light?
