Gentlemen,
Well, it's been a while since I posted any of my own collection and since I am now a Moderator here, I should be setting a good example.
Let me mention one thing up front -- the importance of this Forum. I have made numerous contacts over these past few years and have enjoyed some wonderful correspondence with many fine collectors over the internet. A few I have even met in person -- including my friend Victor Castillo when my wife and I traveled to Spain this year.
We have incredible expertise here on the Forum. And people are so willing to give of their time and specialized knowledge and experience. I thank you all for that.
I post below a few photos of two Juncker pilot badges I have added to the collection recently that were purchased from fellow Association/Forum members. As time has gone on, I find myself doing more of this than purchasing from dealers -- and the quality has been great.
The badges below illustrate why collectors love the Juncker badges so much and why they are so highly sought after. The quality and detail are tremendous -- these are the J1 and J2 types and you can notice the very obvious difference in thickness. Put me down as a real fan of the early, thin Luftwaffe badges.
