"newbies" Third Reich Collection - Small but Sweet

    Hi Guys,

I'm a newbie and have been collecting for a short amount of time.

I have no particular theme, except for third reich items only, and I like what I like so I've ended up buying what I like.

I've been thrilled at the amount I've learnt on this forum, especially "sellers to avoid", "how to spot a fake" and the general banter that goes on this site.

Here's a few photos of all that I have. Yeah, I know it's relatively tiny, but I'm really enjoying where I'm at so far and looking forward to steadily growing my collection.

All comments and thoughts will be appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Michael

Michael welcome to the forum mate
You have some very nice things and its always nice to hear people are still passionate about this hobby.
Whilst there are people out there who dont understand why we collect or why we like the Third Reich period for me it is a facinating period of history.

You are dead right to collect what you enjoy,My fav two items in your collection are your cased LDO Eki and your armband as they relate to my own collection.

Well done Sir,keep going and remember its easier to buy than it is to sell so be PICKY.

Ha ha Ross, Thanks for your kind message.

I love that quote, and it's so very true. I got scammed on a NSDAP Party Badge a few years ago, and the crew here on the Tinnies thread let me know it was a known fake.

Now I do plenty of research prior to buying anything because I know the mongrels exist out there.

I almost committed to buying something from "Snyder's Treasure Trove" but checked out the massive amount of negative comments on here about the site that I saved plenty.

Again, thanks for your kind words,

          Michael

                  Thanks guys.

It's not a "hobby" that most people "understand" or "appreciate" with comments like, "Are you a Nazi-lover?"

I am fascinated by the equipment, awards and such of the Third Reich yet it's not a subject matter my friends can handle.

This forum allows me to share my interest so, thank you all.

Nice start mate, you have some nice items there:, and Michael yes it's still a bit touchy on the stuff we collect, but I always make sure that people who do see my collection out side of this hobby, that I always educate them of the wrongs so they never forget how brutal humans can be to each other!

Anyway it want be long before your'e collection doubles in size as once the bug bites you can't stop.

That's what I'm worried about Lou, the fact that this hobby is very addictive!
