    British Headgear collection

Some montage shots of my British headgear collection, or most of it as I have probably missed some out. Soft headgear not including pith helmets or steel helmets.

Steel helmets and piths though there are some missing and will be added later. I'll add individual pictures of each item when time allows.

                Thanks Lou.

There are two Aussie slouchies, one with its badge and the other with a removed cloth patch, probably British used for the 2nd one.

I have another couple of slouch hats including my fave, a British 1941 dated example with a flash for the Welch Regiment which I have added below.

Another cap I missed is this Welsh regiments officers glengarry for a volunteer battalion from the late Victorian period.

A couple more detail montages for the Welch regiment, an officers Forage cap pre 1969 and a WWII OR's universal pattern field service cap.

British artillery officers forage cap, territorial force 1908-1917. The hatters went out of business in 1917 but also the badge was changed as the artillery Territorial forces were allowed to wear the "normal" Artillery badge which prior to then they wore the version shown on the cap with laurel leaves instead of ubique on the upper scroll.
